"All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go..."

And for those of you not old enough to appreciate the reference--- my sympathies!
In any case, it looks like all systems are go! "Houston, we will soon have lift off!" We are a group of about 12 families, some of whom have arrived in Beijing already. (Smart people, they are going to get a leg up on jet lag!) In about five days, 12 children, girls and boys aged 10 months to 10 years will have new "forever families." Of these twelve traveling families, who are coming from all over the US and the world, including Michigan, Oregon, Texas, Illinois, France, and Germany, among other places, there are eight older siblings, including older girls adopted from China a few years ago, and some much older teenage brothers, In short, there will be about 20 children in this group, ages 10 months to 16 years. Browning Boys, this should be quite a fun field trip for them!
So now-- all I need to do is convince one of my cats to get off the luggage, get a good night sleep, and then head to the airport, after I pick up my friend, Nan!
Depending on options, the next entry may be at the airport- or it may be in Beijing, sometime Friday night or Saturday morning Beijing time, depending on Internet options. In any case, I will be in contact over the weekend---(Note: Beijing is 12 hours ahead of the US...)

Exciting times: The US has a new president, and in a little over two weeks, we will have 12 new citizens!
